ICT TRAININGS

  

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

 

ICT trainings held:

 

 

  • ICT training modules were held for training up to 5 young people with disabilities
  • 5 young people with disabilities underwent ICT training

 

The purpose of the training is to facilitate the economic empowerment and financial independence of young people with disabilities in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector through the improvement of their ICT skills.

 

Given the background in creating and implementing numerous capacity building programs for work-based IT professionals, providers have a deep understanding of the needs of the market in the ICT sector. On the other hand, people with disabilities also have the opportunity to enter the demanding ICT market if they are well trained and motivated to learn and acquire the necessary skills that ICT companies want.

 

The trainings were organized with the aim of improving the employability and employment capacities of persons with disabilities from Kuršumlija by conducting the following trainings:

 

  1. Module 1 – Word / Excel (2 months), Power Point / Access (2 months), Internet / E-mail (1 month) – 2 participants will be trained during the five-month training
  2. Module 2 – HTML / CSS / JavaScript (3 months), WordPress (2 months) – 3 participants will be trained during a five-month training.

 

Activities are carried out on the territory of the municipality of Kuršumlija through direct work with participants on the spot and through online tools.

 

The activities were carried out in the following order:

 

  1. Curriculum development and training methodology for Modules 1 and 2
  2. Conducting ICT trainings within Modules 1 and 2 using a mixed training methodology that combines direct lectures and online lectures using online collaboration tools.
  3. Assessment of progress that will be carried out through daily communication with participants and daily monitoring of what they achieve during the process.

 

Target groups

 

The priority target group is 5 members of the Organization of people with disabilities of Kuršumlija.

 

 

In the set goals and planned activities, the following results were achieved during the trainings:

 

Module 1

 

During the last three months of the contract, 56 hours of training were held using a mixed training methodology that combines direct lectures to participants and an online approach that includes lectures via Skype. In total, during the 5 months of training, 92 hours of training were held.

 

Module 2

 

During the last three months of the contract, 56 hours of training were held using a mixed training methodology that combines direct lectures to participants and an online approach that includes lectures via Skype. In total, during the 5 months of training, 92 hours of training were held.

 

Next steps

 

By summarizing the results of the trainings, creating a final report with the impressions of the lecturers about each of the participants and their progress, the level of acquired knowledge, motivation and attendance at classes. All training materials will be summarized and together with the reporting documentation will be forwarded to the project team.
